The Eazy Stay is a multi-functional fencing aid, manufactured in South-East Queensland and is constructed from solid steel and galvanised, making it durable and sturdy.

A packed crowd made sure they did not miss Australian country music icon Chad Morgan’s final ever show at Gowrie Little Plain Hall last weekend.

Weir wants facilities upgrade

Member for Condamine Pat Weir has used a speech in Parliament to call for more investment to improve sporting facilities in the Toowoomba Region ... "The Toowoomba region was hopeful of a significant economic opportunity for its growing community with the announcement of the Olympic Games, especially given its close proximity to Brisbane and ongoing advocacy for a passenger rail connection to the south-east corner," he told Parliament.

Local rural fire funds to stay local

Fire Minister Nikki Boyd has reassured rural fire brigades that local funds and assets will stay local following legislative change currently being considered through a committee process ... "The policy framework will make it clear that local assets like trucks and local funds will continue to solely benefit those local brigades and be accessed by local brigades for local purposes."

Toowoomba stadium upgrade quashed

Toowoomba’s 2032 Olympics future is in question following Monday’s announcement by Premier Steven Miles that plans to upgrade Toowoomba Sports Ground (Clive Berghofer Stadium) will not proceed. Premier Miles made the announcement on Monday, following the release of the 60-day Sport Venue Review of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games venue infrastructure completed by an independent panel led by former Brisbane Lord Mayor Graham Quirk.

Voters back current Council

All eight current Toowoomba Region Councillors who were candidates this election have been returned by voters after Saturday’s local government election, as has Mayor Geoff McDonald. With Megan O’Hara Sullivan and Nancy Sommerfield retiring, the two vacant positions have been filled by Gary Gardner and Trevor Manteufel.
