iPad’s donated to Longridge residents

I thought [Naracoorte Community] News readers might get a kick out of this 1930's version of a 'Hybrid vehicle' from the Sheeps Back Museum photo collection. I found it while searching the museums 3500 photo collection in preparation for a new exhibit on 'working horses'.

Dairy cattle on a downer

Kristin Murdock,. Recent analysis of ABS data by Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) has seen some interesting trends emerge within Australia’s cattle herd. Between 2016 and 2021, there was an increase in running cattle in general of two per cent. At the other end of the scale, dairy enterprises have dropped by 23 per cent.

Bordertown Field Naturalists celebrate 50 years

Gwen Colwill. 27 April 1973 a meeting was held in Bordertown chaired by Mr Colin Pitcher where it was decided to form a field Naturalist Group ... Walt was presented with a tree seedling by Gwen Colwill which he planted in the reserve to commemorate our 50 years.
