Introducing Megan Rauchle Principal – Allora P-10
Megan has been appointed the new Principal of the Allora P-10 State School after the retirement of Shaun Kanowski at the end of last term. Megan Rauchle took over the reins of Allora P-10 State School at the start of this term. She is a passionate teacher and believes in an all inclusive school where students, staff and teachers are successful and reach their capability.
Allora Homestead celebrates 40 years
An extra special celebration will take place at Allora Homestead on Friday, 21 July at 10.30am as residents, guests and staff gather to celebrate the aged care home’s 40th anniversary. Allora Homestead has supported families across the generations to age-in-place where they have established connection and belonging. Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) Residential Manager Majella Baker has served at Allora Homestead for 38 years and has supported individuals and their families at one of the most significant times of a person’s life.
Warwick NAB branch temporary closure
NAB has told local customers that it intends to close its Warwick branch for about two months from Tuesday 25th July ... NAB has indicated that the renovations at the Warwick branch are being made in response to changes in the way its customers are doing their banking. Editors note - Maybe these changes are forced upon customers due to NAB closing local branches. No wonder more people are banking with the Warwick Credit Union.
Increased roadworks activity in region
Southern Downs residents can expect more activity on the road network and additional construction crews being deployed across the region to undertake flood repairs, with final approvals for last year’s flood event now secured.
Long wait almost over
Nearby resident Len Patterson with his dog Smokey check out the repaired Kital Road Bridge. The Bridge was badly damaged following the flooding in Dalrymple Creek early 2022 and has been impassable for the past 15 months.

Local businesses that have been using QEnergy may have received notification from Origin in the mail. This is not a scam. QEnergy has been shut down and Origin is one of the providers who have been selected by the Australian Energy Regulator to take over the accounts.
