Celebrating 50 years of early education at Allora

On Wednesday 11 September former and current staff, students and community members celebrated 50 years of Early Childhood Education at Allora P-10 State School. In 1974, long serving teacher-in-charge, Mrs Joyce Gibson oversaw the establishment of the Preschool centre, one of the first to open in Queensland.

Matthew wins at Brussels

Only weeks after bringing home the bronze medal from the Paris Olympics Matthew Denny has excelled at the Diamond League held in Brussels at the weekend. With an opening round throw of 69.96m Matthew took out the discus final for the second straight year and broke the 40 year old meet record.

Warriors curtain falls on 2024

The two Santa Gertrudis studs marked a successful return to the on-property auction ring with a full clearance at their third annual joint sale held last Thursday. After two years of American-style video selling, NIOA and RL showed off the best of their best in a hangar-turned-all-weather sale barn at NIOA Pastoral Co.’s Talgai Homestead near Allora.

Cowboys outclass Warriors on road to grand final

The Warwick Cowboys crack outfit were a class above opponents the ‘Farm Spray’ Wattles Warriors in Sunday’s local derby reserve grade major semi-final at Gatton’s Cahill Park, skidding in to fulltime 38 – 4 winners and booking a birth in the 2024 Toowoomba Rugby League Grand Final at Toowoomba’s Clive Berghofer Stadium on September 14th.
