Cowboys outclass Warriors on road to grand final

The Warwick Cowboys crack outfit were a class above opponents the ‘Farm Spray’ Wattles Warriors in Sunday’s local derby reserve grade major semi-final at Gatton’s Cahill Park, skidding in to fulltime 38 – 4 winners and booking a birth in the 2024 Toowoomba Rugby League Grand Final at Toowoomba’s Clive Berghofer Stadium on September 14th.

Sparks fly at Goomburra

On Saturday morning the owner of Long Neck Farm, Corie Ross prepared for a huge last day but found power to the Goomburra Valley had dropped. When he investigated, Corie discovered a phase from a power line had fallen and being live, had started a fire on a property and roadside.

Allora has another tiny home

A delightful tiny (or as the grandkids say "small" home) has been moved to 9 Norman Street. Arriving on the back of a truck in May this year owners of the tiny home, Allyn and June Jones, have settled in nicely to their new abode.

Vital services continue for vulnerable women

Warwick – Killarney Uniting Church will carry on Protea Place’s work with at risk women in the Southern Downs. New name, new beginning. Now called Willow Tree 37, operating hours will be 10am to 2pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 37 Guy Street Warwick (look for the beautiful house next to the church) ... Small homes get tick of approval

Already in Allora two small homes have been erected this year and occupiers are happy with the outcome. Following a recent survey on small homes, Southern Downs Regional Council considered the 491 survey submissions and resolved to implement .. changes to make housing more accessible and affordable...
