Allora Show Society fundraising success
On Sunday, 11th May, the Allora Showgrounds was a sea of purple as 58 riders and 76 beautifully presented horses gathered to support a truly meaningful cause. Across both Showjumping and Dressage, there was a total of 159 entries. Funds raised went to Protea Place.

Member for Maranoa David Littleproud has fought off a challenge by Senator Matt Canavan to retain his role as Leader of The Nationals. Our local MP said it is an enormous honour to be elected as Leader of The Nationals by his colleagues.
Bird watching on Allora Mountain

Police concerned at graffiti outbreak
Allora Police are unimpressed with a spate of graffiti across the Allora district. "Over recent months, there has been an increase in the instances of graffiti occurring about the area; not so much in town, but on the outskirts and around Hendon, Deuchar and Mount Marshall," … By-and-large the "tags" are being made on the roadway, but also over road signs.
Parliamentary inquiry into e-mobility safety
Motoring body RACQ has welcomed the State Government's announcement of a parliamentary inquiry into e-mobility safety after years of advocating for electric scooter reforms. In 2024, there were 1,504 presentations to participating Emergency Departments in Queensland as a result of an e-scooter crash, an increase of 231 from 2023.

Work has commenced on Allora precinct
There's a light at the end of the tunnel for Allora's Town Precinct with workmen on site at the Senior Citizens Rooms. When completed the Library will move into the old Senior Citizens Rooms with entry to the library down the side of the Museum via the double glass doors.
