Parliamentary inquiry into e-mobility safety
Motoring body RACQ has welcomed the State Government's announcement of a parliamentary inquiry into e-mobility safety after years of advocating for electric scooter reforms. In 2024, there were 1,504 presentations to participating Emergency Departments in Queensland as a result of an e-scooter crash, an increase of 231 from 2023.

Work has commenced on Allora precinct
There's a light at the end of the tunnel for Allora's Town Precinct with workmen on site at the Senior Citizens Rooms. When completed the Library will move into the old Senior Citizens Rooms with entry to the library down the side of the Museum via the double glass doors.
Allora pauses to reflect
In tune with the rest of Australia, Allora citizens gathered on Anzac Day to commemorate the immense service given by our Defence personnel past and present across more than a century. As the Allora service drew to a close a few random rain drops fell like tears.
Platz Oval history in the making

Cotton on the eastern Darling Downs
In recent years there have been a few cotton crops planted on the eastern Darling Downs and even though some may have shown promise, growers apparently have never seen enough benefit to warrant a further planting of a crop in subsequent seasons. Such cotton crops have been planted at Nobby, Cambooya and Ryeford.
A riderless horse in ANZAC Day parade
This ANZAC day a sole Riderless Horse will be led by myself (Ron Rogers), the saddle is stripped of weapons and equipment, Light Horsemen boots and leggings are placed in the stirrups backwards. This is to remember those soldiers who have fallen in battle.
