Last resort – LHAC resign over MLHD failures

In a shock announcement, the Moulamein Local Health Advisory Committee resigned en masse at its AGM ... The committee said their positions were untenable after the nearly three years of broken promises, failure to take action and a lack of community support and engagement by Murrumbidgee Local Health District.

The 100-year celebrations for the PS Alexander Arbuthnot (AA) delighted the masses on Friday night … PS Alexander Arbuthnot was named after the former owner of the Arbuthnot Sawmills at Koondrook – Alexander ‘Squire’ James Cooke Arbuthnot. His father, Alexander ‘Sandy’ Arbuthnot was the founder of the sawmill.

The air was filled with excitement on Friday night as the Koondrook Barham Show celebrated its 60th show ... The night air was abuzz as the volunteers’ efforts of attracting a wide variety of attractions fired up the crowd in perfect weather.

Wade drills life skills

Australian Soccer legend, Paul Wade, has been in Koondrook Barham this week delivering a life skills program to kids at the towns’ schools. Paul competed for Australia in the 1988 Olympic Games, captained the Socceroos from 1990-1996, representing the country in 118 international games including two World Cup campaigns and also had great success back home with two National Soccer League Championships and 1988 National Soccer League player of the year.
