Narrandera Shire Council has discontinued the Narrandera-Leeton Airport parallel taxiway project after refusing to accept any of the tender submissions for the bulk earthwork, drainage and associated services required for construction of the taxiway due to all tendered prices exceeding the allocated budget.

Outdoor dining made permanent
The NSW Government has made exempt development for outdoor dining permanent on private land for cafes, clubs, and restaurants. Venues can continue to operate outdoor dining in locations including private laneways, bowling greens and car parks without planning approval, providing they meet safety rules.
