Narranders High School 2021 HSC Industrial Technology and Design and Technology students Amelia Gillespie and Lauren Wickes have won accolades for their work in the Student Category Maker of the Year awards presented by Carbatec.
Active farmers games hailed as a success
Active Farmers founder and chief executive officer Ginny Stevens has hailed the Active Farmers Games at Coleambally as a success. The Games were created to raise awareness of the importance of physical and mental health in rural communities and to encourage more men to become more active. About 30 teams of three people competed in events which were designed to "mimic real-life challenges".
Rockin’ on East returns
This year’s Rockin' on East Festival is set to be bigger and better to make amends for the last two events being cancelled due to COVID. It will be like a scene from yesteryear when rock and roll bands and dancers, dressed in 1950s attire, descend on Narrandera to create a fun, family event scheduled for the October long weekend.
Narrandera starting point for Light Horse celebrations
Narrandera will be the starting point for a re-enactment of the 131st celebrations of the Riverina Light Horse Association on the last weekend in March. Riders will mark the occasion by taking their mounts in a trek from Narrandera to Wagga to raise funds for a bronze statue.

Rain revives storm fears
Storms which hit Narrandera in January remain vivid in the minds of locals, with flooding still the hot topic of conversation among many who had a first hand experience of the storm disaster ... residents talked about the same things happening back in 2012 and said nothing had changed.
