Sinclair kicks off Golden Triangle with treble

Peter Sinclair kicked off the Golden Triangle of racing in fine style at Moree Picnics on Saturday, preparing three winners on the six-race-program. In yet another successful day at his home track, Sinclair trained the winner of the feature event on the program, with Liberty Head taking out the 1400m Boolooroo Moree Picnic Cup for jockey Michael Johnston.

Quirindi prepares for popular Willow Tree Cup meeting

Saturday’s Willow Tree Cup meeting at Quirindi Jockey Club is shaping up as a big event both on and off the track. 112 runners have been nominated for the six-race-program which will be headlined by the Willow Tree Cup, a 1000m Benchmark 50 Handicap that has attracted 25 potential runners.

Scenic Rim tree planting program supports World Environment Day

Scenic Rim Mayor Greg Christensen said the Scenic Rim One Million Trees Program was established in 2013 with the goal to plant one million trees across the region by 2025. "The program provides native trees to Scenic Rim residents, community groups, rural landholders and schools and aims to address issues of biodiversity loss by encouraging sustainable land practices, the restoration of waterways and beautification of the region,' he said.
