Prime lamb game set to pay dividends this spring
If there was ever a year to "step into good sheep," this is it, says Grant Hausler of Janmac Studs. A coup for the Nhill Book Fair
The next Nhill Book Fair will be held on September 7, from 10-2 at 44 Victoria St (next to Lowana), in conjunction with the second birthday celebrations at LOL next door. At this book fair there will be a large selection of Walkabout magazines available.

Council calls for drought recognition
West Wimmera Shire Council has called on the State Government to expand the drought declaration area to cover the entire shire ... The program helps farmers affected by drought to meet their general rates and municipal charges ... Council also resolved to lobby the state government to expand the drought declaration area to cover the entire shire.

Three appreciative audiences have enjoyed the latest Piggery Lane Players production, 'Don't Get Your Vicars in a Twist'. The show, which ran this past weekend, featured a mix of much-loved PLP veterans and talented newcomers, all of whom delivered a high-energy performance that left audiences thoroughly entertained.

Jeparit church final service
The Jeparit Uniting Church community celebrated the centenary of the laying of the foundation stone of their current building as well as the closure of their doors on Sunday. On August 16, 1925, Mr. James Menzies, a local civic leader and former trustee of the church, unveiled the foundation stone for the new building in the presence of a large gathering of local and district residents.
