Brian Lea, Birchip Probus president was guest speaker on the role played by Birchip Apex Club, from 1975, without whom, the Tchum Lake we know and love, may never have been created. Brian was the original treasurer of Apex at that time and has had an interest ever since in the story of the development of the lake.

Troy’s eighth, Naomi’s first: Charlton Badminton Championships
On Wednesday, July 30, seventeen players contested the Charlton Badminton Club singles championships in two grades of men and one grade of ladies. In the men's "A" grade, Troy Heenan made it singles championship number eight by winning all of his five matches, including the final against Thomas Bibin 25-14.
