Lachlan Dand. One of the Riverland Football League’s most fierce rivalries will kick off on Saturday afternoon, when Renmark welcomes Waikerie to town for another instalment of the Gill-Lehmann Cup. The first edition of the cup was in 2008 and since then, the Magpies lead the ledger 10-6, having won the first five contests.

State honours for Sam

Lochert Bros hit with $129k fine

A Riverland citrus processor has received a $129,000 fine over an incident that saw a worker's arm caught in an unguarded machine. Ramco-based Lochert Bros Pty Ltd was sentenced in the South Australian Employment Tribunal, on 24 April, following a SafeWork SA prosecution.

Riverlanders compete in the National Drivers Championships at Yarrawonga

Lachlan Dand. Following the success of the 2024 Australian BAD Boat Championships, in conjunction with the upcoming 2026 event, Riverland Powerboat Club members last week competed in national championships in Victoria. Held at Yarrawonga, three members of the club competed in the EC Griffith Cup weekend, with Daniel Jury finishing second in the 105 mp/h championship.
