Lockhart Spirit of the Land Festival continues its vibrancy and success

Lockhart and District Community held another very successful and enjoyable Spirit of the Land Festival on the weekend of 11 and 12 October. It is 19 years since the first very small festival was held during one of Lockhart's most challenging droughts. Over the years it has grown into a vibrant community event.

Talented young bullock driver honoured with Tim Peel Cup

Joey Reedy is a stock agent, bullock driver, bush poet and budding auctioneer all at the tender age of 18 but can now add one of the nation's up and coming teamsters to his bow. Joey was the winner of the inaugural Tim Peel Cup at the 2025 Good Old Days Festival at Barellan on 5 October.

Heavy horses set world record at Barellan Good Old Days Festival

A team of 62 heavy horses was harnessed to pull an antique wagon in a record-breaking event at the Barellan Good Old Days Festival at the weekend. It outnumbered the previous Australian record of 50, set in Queensland in the 1980s and a 50-horse hitch in Canada in 1995.

Narrandera's Burnout Master Jake Myers has finished a very successful four months with a WIN at Ice Cream Cruise USA 2025, an achievement he said he will never forget.

An unbearably good time at Narrandera’s Koala Festival

The Cootamundra electorate's cutest residents have been the centre of celebrations in Narrandera, with the town's annual Koala Festival last weekend proving to be an ongoing success ...
