ATAR stars shoot Denmark Senior High School into State’s top 50
Serena Kirby. Denmark Senior High School is one of only 11 public schools to make it onto WA’s list of top 50 performing schools for ATAR results. DSHS principal Katherine Ward said the results of all students over ATAR, general and VET pathways were the product of the hard work put in by students and staff.
Business owners call for seagull cull
Eight local business owners are calling for a cull of seagulls which they say are pests in the Denmark central business district. As carriers of salmonella, they say the gulls are tarnishing the town’s tourist image and their aggressive scavenging is unacceptable.
Early music now the latest thing

151 Denmark people won’t be home for Christmas
A total of 151 Denmark people, aged one year to 87, are homeless or live in caravans, sheds, vehicles, tents, in overcrowded housing, sleep rough or couch surf. Arts markets forty years young
Serena Kirby. This December marks 40 years since the first Denmark Arts Market was held at Berridge Park. What started with just a handful of stallholders and a few locals casually playing music on the grass has grown into a regional drawcard that brings thousands of people to town on market days.
