Dunoon Music Festival 2024
Sarah Brehaut. On Saturday 9th November the Dunoon Sports Club was pleased to host the Dunoon Music Festival, proudly sponsored by Planet Music. With seven bands lined up for the day, a sound engineer, volunteers galore, food vans scattered out the back and Anna’s Greek Kitchen fully stocked for the day what could possibly have gone wrong?
Open letter to Rous County Councillors from Water Northern Rivers
We were heartened to read an article in the Tweed Coast Times, "Leading the way for a sustainable future water supply", p.13, 6/9/24. In the article Sharon Cadwallader (newly re-elected Rous County Councillor and Ballina mayor) said working to minimise water demand from big water users is an important part of water sustainability.
Winners announced for the 2024 Koori Mail Indigenous Art Award
Twenty-five finalists were selected from over 80 entries, showcasing the incredible diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artistic expression ... The $10,000 Koori Mail Art Award was won by Penny Evans for 'The Elephant' 2024.

Musicophilia with J Lowe
Dr Matt Hill (PhD, Music technology and composition) was a Dunoon identity for many years: a fixture of the Dunoon Football Club as a player and committee member, a member of the Dunoon Primary P&C and a music teacher at his home in James Street. He wrote a song about the Dunoon tornado which ripped through the village in 2007 ... He is a composer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist.
