I have a Christmas tree-shaped hole in my heart – Festive tree stolen from hall

Recent stories

‘Twas the month before Christmas – and four little Christmas trees stood in the Bundgeam Community Hall.

And then there were three.

Lindy Hayman from the hall committee said she was saddened when she discovered someone had taken one of the Christmas trees.

“I certainly have a Christmas tree shaped hole in my heart right now,” she said.

The four trees were donated to the hall by Laurel Nursery.

The trees had been for sale at the hall’s Christmas Party on November 22.

“As they hadn’t sold, we left them in place for all to enjoy,” Lindy said.

The Bundgeam Community Hall is planning a memorial garden to commemorate those families that have contributed to building the community at Bundgeam.

“I had made the decision to plant them as part of that garden,” Lindy said.

“I’m saddened that someone has felt the need to steal our tree.”

“At the same time, I feel very sorry for the person who think that this is okay.”

Lindy and the committee would like the Christmas tree returned.

“However, if not returned, I hope it grows well, giving those who took it many Merry Christmasses.”

If you took the tree from Bundgeam Hall, take it back. No questions asked. It’s Christmas after all.
